Boves Restaurant Closing Its Doors

It is always a sad day when such an icon as Bove's is in Burlington decides to make some major changes in how they decide to do things.  But why can't it be a happy thing?  I know for a fact that this decision was struggled over by the entire family for a very long time, years.  Running a restaurant is not an easy task.  You need to be there every single day, all day, all night.  No one realizes the amount of work it takes even when the restaurant is closed.  Holidays?  Forget it.  Even if they are closed for an entire day to celebrate Christmas or New Years, staff is still in there cleaning, and prepping for the next open day!  This moment, when they finally serve the last dinner plate in December, will be bitter sweet I am sure.  Now one can retire restfully, now another can carry Bove's on in a different, but not necessarily a bad way!  We are still going to be able to bring Bove's lasagna, meatballs and sauce home, just go to the freezer section or sauce section in the grocery store, easy!  We are even going to be able to have Bove's cater our parties, super fun!  We all need to stop being selfish about not having the Pearl St. cafe to eat at anymore.  It is still going to be on Pearl St.  No one is tearing it down, and I bet we will even still be able to see the Bove's sign hanging above the front door.  So now let's support their new warehouse in Milton, and eat at the cafe there!  Let's also be happy for the Bove family for being able to enjoy relaxed moments with their aging family and the new little feet running around them!  Imagine being able to be home on a Friday night, or being able to spend holidays with your family?  Now THAT is rich.  Thank you to the entire Bove's family for creating memories for so many people.  We LOVE your sauce and meatballs!!!  Most of all Congratulations on your new venture in Milton!!!
