We are just ending the time of year when you can get your ski pass for a bit of a discount. If you are like me and haven't made the time to purchase your pass yet I've done some research on what the prices are doing and here is what I've found. Bolton Valley, the smallest mountain of the bunch I've looked at is ranking in with the lowest price for non restricted passes. Bolton comes in at a price of $649 for an adult pass, $319 for a youth, $319 for seniors and $29 for kids under 6 years old. Night ski pass is $159. Smuggler's Notch is charging $669 for an adult, $419 for a youth and $70 for a senior. Smuggler's Notch also offers other options for passes such as their Bash Badge which allows skiers and riders to pay $139 for the badge and then $30 per day for full day and $20 for half days. They also offer a Bash Badge Plus which is the same as the regular Bash Badge but allows skiers and riders to go for free from opening season to December 12th and from March 15 until the mountain closes. Stowe Mountain Resort comes in at the most expensive at $2224 for an adult, $1121 for seniors and $708 for youth. Sugarbush is right behind Stowe with passes starting at $1729 for adults, $899 for seniors and $529 for youth. Jay Peak is the last resort that I looked at and they came in at an adult pass of $1149, senior pass at $849 and their youth at $829.
Last year I chose to go to Smuggler's Notch as it was my first year back snowboarding and I wasn't sure how it would go. Turns out I absolutely loved it and was hooked pulling in roughly 30 days on the mountain. Smuggs treated me well and I think I'll end up going back again this year. The value is there and it is the closet mountain to my home. I hope this helps! Good health and have a blast on the mountain this year!
