I would consider myself a foodie. My husband and I love to go out to great restaurants and just found a little gem practically in our backyard. The Boca, a pizzeria on North Avenue in Burlington has been opened for roughly a year or so now and we just hadn't been moved to try it out. Finally and thankfully we gave it a try last week and it was absolutely delicious. The menu features appetizers to cover all cravings, from spicy brussels sprouts to farm fresh cheese bread to sauce and doh to different types of salads- caesar, caprese, and antipasta. They have a good variety of pizza's as well. My favorites are the Garlic and Arugula and the Eggplant and Fungi. For the meet lovers out there the Supreme and the Chicken Cordon Blue would likely be a great choice. They also feature a pasta and soup special each night.
I also liked that they offer all local brews on tap. Locals from Burlington, to Shelburne, to Killington, Morrisville, and Stowe. I stuck with my good old faithful and ordered the Fiddlehead.
I would compare La Boca really closely to Pizza Veritas in downtown Burlington. The food is just as good as Veritas (which is hard to do) and the location of La Boca is much easier to access for us! Parking is not an issue with ample spots available and the atmosphere is very nice. Dim lighting and a cozy rustic wood feeling.
See below for the menu and go check them out! This restaurant is very good and deserves the attention.
